Derek Gibbs is in his first year as the Lions Certified Athletic Trainer, in partnership with Southern Therapy Services. Derek has spent the last 8 years at Alexander High School in Douglasville where he managed the healthcare and rehabilitation of student athletes across all sports. Derek received degrees in both Athletic Training and Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Georgia in 2015. He is married to Ariel Gibbs and the pair has two sons, Hudson(4) and Baylor(2). The Gibbs family is excited to be joining the Lion family this season!
