Coaches
Coach Presnell is beginning his 9th year of teaching and his 6th year in the Central cluster. Coach Presnell played college baseball for two years at Columbus State University and finished his college career playing at Piedmont University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Coach Presnell then graduated from Piedmont University again with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Coach Presnell began his teaching and coaching career at Locust Grove High School, where he was a varsity assistant coach and helped lead the team to 2 state playoff runs and a final four appearance. Coach Presnell moved to Carrollton in 2020 and taught at Central Middle School for two years while working under Coach Shiver as the Varsity pitching coach for the Lions. In the three years Coach Presnell has been at the helm, the Lions have been to the state playoffs each year and in 2024-2025 led the team to the Sweet 16 and a 22-11 record. Coach Presnell is married to Jordan Lee Presnell, who is also an active part of Carroll County Schools as a math teacher and cheerleading coach at Villa Rica High School. They have a newborn son named Elliott!
