My name is Umbrah Brown. I am the Head Football Coach here at
Central High School. 2023 marks my 11th year in education and
coaching! Before coming back to my alma mater (2007), I was the Head
Coach at Paulding County High School in Dallas, GA. There I spent 3
years (1 as HC, 2 as DC) and was blessed to work with some
incredible people and great student athletes. Prior to my time at PC, I
spent several years as an assistant coach (Defensive Backs and
Strength & Conditioning) at Hiram High School and New Manchester
High School, while teaching physical education. I also spent 4 years
teaching elementary physical education while coaching at Hiram High
School. I graduated college in 2012 from The University of West
Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.
I am married to Shatari Brown, who is an Elementary Teacher. And we
have 2 sons, Rhyland (8) and Rheygan (4). They are my WHY!

nathan horsley

Nathan Horsley was named Central High School Defensive Coordinator in December 2021. Prior to his return to Central High School, Nathan coached football and wrestling on both the high school and middle school levels, and baseball and soccer on the middle school level.

Outside of school Nathan is an avid sports fan and works with Gradick Communications on Friday nights as an analyst and reporter covering high school football.

Nathan is married to Emily, a 1996 Central High School graduate. They have two (2) boys, Caden and Nate.

jasper harvey

Coach Harvey is entering his 7th season here at CHS. Coach Harvey is an assistant football coach (Defensive Line/Special Teams Coordinator) and also serves as the Head Track and Field coach for the Central Lions. Coach Harvey grew up in Marrero, La and graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School in 2001, where he was an all-state offensive tackle and all-state thrower for the track and field team. From there, he went on to receive a football scholarship to attend San Diego State University. There Coach Harvey moved to play guard and center where he earned recognition on the Remington list (College Best Center Award). After graduating, Coach Harvey went on to play professionally with several NFL (Redskins, Eagles, Cardinals) and AFL teams. He received his bachelor degree in Political Science from San Diego State University. Coach Harvey holds a master’s degree in special education from University of Phoenix. 

 Prior to Coach Harvey coming to CHSl, Coach Harvey served as the health education teacher at Manchester Middle School and offensive and defensive line coach and track throwers coach at Manchester High School. Coach Harvey was also an offensive line coach at Banneker High School. 

 Coach Harvey  is married to Adrean, and they have two sons:  Jasper III (12), and Nolan (5). When he is not coaching, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching his kids participate in various activities.

I graduated from Central High School in 1987.  After graduation I attended Albany State University where I participated in both football and track and field. Following college, I played arena football from 1998-2004. I'm currently employed at Central High School . I'm married to Tamisa Ridley. We've got one daughter Bella Grace Ridley 
andrell roberts
Coach Roberts, graduate of the University of Georgia has been teaching 8 years. 4 of the 7 has been at Central Middle School. He’s a proud family man of 3 boys and a daughter. When he is not coaching, he enjoy binge watching tv with the family or cheering on his boys that play multiple sports for Central High School.

This is my second year at Central High School.  I am excited to be a part of the Lion family.   I have taught at Villa Rica (94-98), Washington-Wilkes (98-00), Paulding Co. (00-11) and recently Alexander (11-22).  For the last 20 years I was a Strength and Conditioning coach.  I have coached almost every sport at some time or the other in my 28 years.  Currently I am coaching football and wrestling.  I have been involved with FCA for many years.  I am a member of Lifegate Church in Villa Rica.  My wife’s name is Misty and we have 2 children, Lindsey  and Jonathan.

I am from Carrollton, GA, and a graduate of the class of 2017 here at Central High School. I graduated from UWG in 2022, and teach 6th grade Science and Social Studies. I have been coaching at Central for the past 6  years, and I love giving that same lion pride to my players as I had when I was a student.

I am coming from Paulding County High School where I previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. I was there for 5 years. Before that I was the quarterbacks coach at Hiram high school for 1 year. 
My wife (Laura) and I have one son Bennett who is one year old and we have a second son on the way in February. 

Coach Jimbo Black joins Central High School as a Floating Teacher and comes to us from Paulding County High School where he has spent the last 11 years in a variety of roles. Coach Black also previously served the Director of Pupil Transportation for the Paulding County School District.

This will be Coach Black’s 32nd year coaching football at the high school, middle school and youth programs throughout Cobb and Paulding Counties. Coach Black has been married to his wife Melissa for 29 years and are the proud parents of three adult children: Brenden (31), Brett (26), and Emily (21).

Coach Kyle Sanders joins Central High School as a Special Education Teacher in the Math Department and comes to us from Alexander High School where he has spent the last 8 years.  Coach Sanders while at Alexander was a Special Education teacher in the English and History Departments. Coach Sanders also served as the Special Education Department Chair for 2 years. 

This will be Coach Sanders 10th year coaching football at the high school and collegiate levels in both Georgia and Tennessee. Coach Sanders is married to his wonderful wife Amanda Sanders, and has two son’s Deacon (3) and Lincoln (1 month). Coach Sanders is excited to be a Central Lion.
